Ai Group Workplace Lawyers’ Colin Chang has been shortlisted for the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards 2022.
The list of finalists, announced today, includes more than 270 high-achieving professionals under the age of 30 across 31 submission-based categories.
Mr Chang said he was thrilled and grateful to be named among the ten finalists in the Employment and Workplace Relations category.
“This reflects the hard-fought successes my team at Ai Group Workplace Lawyers and I have achieved for our clients in one of the most difficult and turbulent periods for employers,” Mr Chang said.
Reaching the finalists stage is regarded as an incredible achievement within the Australian legal industry.
Lawyers Weekly editor Jerome Doraisamy said: “With the market looking ahead to a post-pandemic landscape and the nature of legal service delivery still evolving, it is increasingly challenging for young legal professionals to make their mark.
“However, the current climate is also rife with opportunities.
“The 30 Under 30 Awards allow us to acknowledge and recognise those up-and-comers who are doing extraordinary things against the backdrop of turbulent and uncertain times. The winners and finalists at this event will, in almost all cases, be the lawyers who will help shape the direction of Australia’s legal profession for years to come.”
Ai Group Workplace Lawyers National Manager of Legal & Consulting Services Jackie Power said Mr Chang fully deserved to be recognised.
“It’s a credit to him because he is an amazing young lawyer,” Ms Power said.
“It’s an absolute acknowledgement to what he contributes to our team. I’m very proud of him — he so deserves it.”
Winners will be announced at a black-tie event on Friday, June 3, in Sydney.
