On 15 July 2018, Sandra Parker commenced a five-year term as the Fair Work Ombudsman, replacing Natalie James whose five-year term has expired.

Ms Parker has had a distinguished career within the Department of Jobs and its predecessors, including as Deputy Secretary for the past eight years.
